Research

Analytical and numerical modelling activities on components, single cell and systems are performed in strict correlation with experimental activities. Besides research activities, measurements standardization activities are also carried out, participating to international IEC-TC105 and national workgroups CEI-CT105.

Research lines

  • Polymer electrolyte fuel cell
  • Flow battery
  • Lithium battery

Past Projects

The Laboratory started its activities in 2005, since then its scientific production increased continuously and rapidly: more than 5 PhD and 40 M.Sc. theses were dedicated to the major issues of PEMFC and DMFC, producing several international publications, in the framework of national and international projects

Ongoing projects

  • Industrial projects on innovative components for automotive PEMFC
  • Industrial projects on degradation of Lithium-ion battery and reuse in second-life
  • Industrial projects on flow battery development for renewable energy storage
